About the Rink
Downtown Ice, now branded Skate Under the Palms, is a seasonal outdoor rink at Circle of Palms Plaza in downtown San Jose. Skaters circle a ring of 32 palm trees in the heart of the city.
Public Skating
- Public skating: Daily sessions during the winter season
- Public skating hours: Mon–Thu 5–9 p.m.; Fri 5–10:30 p.m.; Sat–Sun 11 a.m.–9 or 10:30 p.m. Hours expand during holiday weeks.
- Admission: $21 including skate rental
- Season: Roughly late November through mid-January, sometimes extended for special events
