About the Rink

Canal Park Ice Rink is a seasonal outdoor rink in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood of Washington, DC, at 200 M Street SE. Public skating runs through the winter with 90-minute sessions and mid-session ice resurfacing.

• Public skating: Sessions offered seven days a week during the operating season
• Public skating hours: Mon–Thu 4:00–9:00 p.m.; Fri 4:00–10:00 p.m.; Sat 12:00–10:00 p.m.; Sun 12:00–9:00 p.m.
• Admission: $13
• Skate rental: $7
• Season: Roughly early December through early March

• Transit: Near Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro station
• Amenities: Skate helper rentals available; 15-minute break between sessions for skate cleaning
• Important rule: Sessions are 90 minutes with a resurfacing break at the halfway point
