About the Rink

Groveland Ice Rinks is a volunteer-run outdoor skating complex in St. Paul's Macalester-Groveland neighborhood. The site includes hockey rinks, a general skating area, a pond hockey rink, and a natural ice oval.

Public Skating

• Public skating: Open daily during the skating season when ice is maintained
• Public skating hours: Rink area open 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday–Saturday; warming house staffed at posted attendant hours
• Skate rental: Free checkout when rink attendants are on duty (collateral required)
• Season: Winter only; closed when air temperature or wind chill reaches -25°F or colder

• Amenities: Warming house, free skate and equipment checkout when attendants are present
• Important rule: No pucks on the general rink and oval; hockey is limited to designated hockey areas
