About the Rink

Howard Park is a riverfront park on South St. Louis Boulevard in South Bend, Indiana. Each winter its 16,000-square-foot ice trail and pond become a regional outdoor skating destination.

Public Skating

• Public skating: Ice trail and pond skating offered seven days a week in season
• Public skating hours: 80-minute sessions; weekday sessions at 4 and 6 p.m., expanded weekend and holiday hours
• Admission: $8 ages 3–17; $11 ages 18+; skate rental included
• Skate rental: Included with admission
• Season: Late November through March, weather permitting
• Reservations: Limited online reservations available; walk-ups when space allows

• Parking: Street parking and the Zion Church parking lot nearby
• Amenities: Outdoor fire pits, heaters, and locker rentals in the Event Center
• Accessibility: Two skate-assist sleds available for skaters with physical disabilities
