About the Rink

Skating Shack is the outdoor community rink at the Hosmer Field Complex in Rumford, managed by the town parks department. The skating shack is staffed on select days in winter.

Public Skating

• Public skating: Open skating available when ice is maintained
• Public skating hours: Shack open Thu–Sun; skating often available after 11 a.m. when not under maintenance
• Skate rental: Free skate rentals when the skating shack is open
• Season: Winter only

Plan Your Visit

• Parking: Parking at the Hosmer Field Complex
• Reservations: Call the parks department for current rink status
• Important rule: Bring your own skates on days when the shack is closed
