About the Rink
Soldiers Field Skate Rink is an outdoor city facility in Rochester with a quarter-mile leisure skating loop and separate hockey sheets. Rochester Parks and Recreation maintains the site.
Public Skating
- Public skating: Free outdoor skating when ice is maintained
- Public skating hours: Loop open daily when conditions allow; warming shed staffed weekends noon–4 p.m. in season
- Skate rental: Available weekends noon–4 p.m. when the warming shed is open
- Season: Winter only, typically December through February

- Parking: Soldiers Field Park lot
- Amenities: Warming shed, benches for changing skates, lighted rinks
- Important rule: Hockey sticks stay on the separate hockey sheets, not the leisure loop
