About the Rink
Yanmar Arena is an indoor, year-round arena in Grand Rapids, formerly the IRA Civic Center. The city facility has two ice sheets and serves local hockey and community skating.
Public Skating
- Public skating: Open skate sessions are offered at select times
- Public skating hours: Sessions vary by day. Contact the arena at 218-326-2500 for current times.
- Admission: $3 adults / $2 children when open skate is offered
- Season: Ice roughly July through April

- Parking: Multiple lots around the arena at 1401 NW 3rd Ave
- Amenities: Heated viewing areas and concession stand
- Important rule: Bring your own skates for open skating
