About the Rink

Ames/ISU Ice Arena is an indoor rink co-owned by the City of Ames and Iowa State University. The year-round NHL-size facility seats about 1,000 spectators.

Public Skating

• Public skating: Drop-in public skate sessions offered regularly
• Public skating hours: Sessions vary. Check the online ice arena calendar before visiting
• Admission: $7 adults / $6 youth ages 4–15 / $4.50 under 4
• Skate rental: $4
• Season: Open year-round with a brief May maintenance shutdown
