About the Rink
Sand Run Metro Park is a large Summit Metro Parks property in Akron. The former outdoor skating pond at the Big Bend Area was discontinued and converted to a natural wetland habitat.

- Public skating: Ice skating is no longer offered at Sand Run Metro Park
- Season: Summit Metro Parks now hosts ice skating at Brushwood Lake in Furnace Run Metro Park when conditions allow
