About the Rink

The U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, converts its upper pond into a 24,000 sq ft outdoor ice skating center each winter. The layout includes ice trails and free-skate zones.

Public Skating

• Public skating: Offered daily during the winter season when the ice center is open
• Public skating hours: Day and evening sessions mid-November through mid-February. Check the activity schedule before visiting.
• Admission: $25 single-activity pass (includes skate rental)
• Skate rental: Included with ice skating pass
• Season: Roughly mid-November through mid-February

Plan Your Visit

• Parking: Daily parking fee $13 per vehicle at the Whitewater Center
• Amenities: On-ice Airstream serving hot and cold beverages
• Important rule: Socks are required and must be brought by the guest
